Disability & Accessibility Policy
At Flamingo Soft Play & Café, we are committed to creating a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment for all children and families, including those with disabilities hidden or visible, such as autism spectrum conditions and ADHD.
Our Approach
We warmly welcome children with physical, sensory, developmental and learning disabilities. We treat all guests with respect, understanding and fairness.
Where possible, we aim to make reasonable adjustments, taking into account the nature of our venue, safety requirements and staff availability.
Supervision & Responsibility
All children must remain under the constant supervision of a parent or responsible adult at all times. Flamingo staff are not trained carers and do not provide one-to-one supervision or specialist care.
Full responsibility for a child’s behaviour, safety and wellbeing remains with the parent or carer throughout the visit.
Safety
The safety of all children, guests and staff is our priority.
If a child’s behaviour poses a risk to themselves, other children or staff, we may ask the parent/carer to take a short break or, if necessary, to end the session early.
Any such decision will always be made respectfully and solely in the interest of safety.
Venue Limitations
Flamingo Soft Play & Café is located on the first floor and does not have lift access. Due to the nature of soft play equipment, not all areas may be suitable for every child. We are unable to modify play equipment or provide medical assistance.
Communication
We encourage parents and carers to speak with our team before their visit or upon arrival if their child has specific needs, so we can offer appropriate guidance and support where possible.
Any information shared will be treated with sensitivity and respect.
